Hitachi-LG GH24NSD5 Interne 24x SATA Super Multi DVD±RW Brander met M-DISC Ondersteuning

The Hitachi-LG GH24NSD5 is a proven workhorse in the optical storage segment, engineered to bring fast, reliable disc burning to any standard desktop PC. Built on the Super Multi platform, this 5.25-inch internal drive connects via a native SATA interface and delivers up to 24x write speeds on DVD±R media, making it one of the quickest tray-loading burners of its class. Whether you need to archive large data sets, duplicate installation media, author video discs, or simply add legacy optical support to a modern build, the GH24NSD5 handles the job with consistent, low-error performance.

What sets this drive apart from budget alternatives is its M-DISC™ compatibility. Unlike standard organic-dye recordable media, M-DISC uses an inorganic, rock-like recording layer that has been independently tested to resist heat, humidity and light far longer than conventional DVDs — an essential feature for users who need to guarantee the long-term integrity of photos, legal documents or backup archives. Complementing this is LG's Silent Play technology, which intelligently detects the type of content being read and automatically throttles spindle speed to minimize operating noise during movie or audio playback, and Jamless Play, which improves tolerance for lightly scratched or imperfect discs so playback doesn't stall mid-read.

Housed in a compact half-height black chassis measuring roughly 146 x 41.3 x 165 mm and weighing around 610 grams, the GH24NSD5 is a drop-in replacement for virtually any ATX or micro-ATX tower with a free 5.25-inch bay and an available SATA data/power connection. With a rated MTTF of 60,000 power-on hours, it is built for sustained daily use in both home and light commercial environments. This unit is supplied as a bare OEM drive, so it is best suited to system builders, IT technicians and upgraders who already have the necessary SATA cabling and mounting hardware on hand.

Overall, the GH24NSD5 remains one of the most dependable choices for anyone who still relies on physical disc media — combining broad format compatibility, quiet operation and archival-grade M-DISC support in a single affordable internal drive.
